hahhaa have you ever read the children's story the cat and the owl...or something like that?
I can't remember the title but almost every library time in elementary school I would either read that story, or the illustrated ABC's or something by Chris Van Allsburg. What an awesome author/illustrator. Anyways, the story I'm talking about is about a cat and an owl I believe. They get married and they row away to an island on a boat for a year and a day or something like that. It rhymes but it doesn't make sense.

this childhood recollection of mine also reminds me of corduroy the bear. and the velveteen rabbit. oh the memories.

anyways, it's been a year and a day since the last entry. I guess I lied to you when I said "I'll be done the art trade in a week" obviously not.
My sincere apologies.

These days I'm attending university here in Quebec. Some days I don't mind it, some days I hate it. I must learn to appreciate it. It will make it bearable. I remind myself everyday why I am here, because I wanted to learn and do something that is ultimately against my principal. However clearly I hold this in perspective, most days I am pulled into a sort of panicked short-term perspective where I think "where will I get the money to go to art school/travel? have I wasted my years here? what am I doing here if I don't like it? Where have my mobility and my opportunities gone? What will my parents think and do?" but I believe I still have mobility. A lot of the time you hear about life being a one-shot deal but not necessarily. I haven't even hit 20 yet. I have a ways to go. I will hang in. hahhaa back to reality, as long as I can keep a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

I know I have gone idle. as always. perhaps in a year or two I can be more consistent. find a way to be a person.
